November 1, 2024CALLOUT 43 – Call to Assist NWAS
November 18, 2024CALLOUT 42
On Friday at approximately 13:00, the time was called by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to a remote farm where a farmer had fallen from height and sustained spinal and limb injuries.
Paramedics on the scene requested the team due to the access and egress to the farm and out of the farmhouse itself.
The team were mobilised with Mob 1 and other team members responding directly. On arrival, we packaged the casualty on a scoop and immobilised him fully in our full-body vacuum mattress.
We then used our 4×4 ambulance to negotiate the track to get him safely to the NHS ambulance waiting nearby.
We wish the gentleman all the best and hope he has a speedy recovery.
