March 16, 2025CALLOUT 23
On Sunday evening at approximately 17:00 (2/3/25), the team was contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a casualty who had fallen and suffered a lower leg injury near the River Roch, Heywood.
The team was mobilised and both response vehicles deployed alongside additional team members going directly to the location.
On scene team members met with both the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) crew and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) who were able to assist in opening a gate for closer vehicle access. Team members proceeded with the NWAS crew. After initial treatment, the casualty was assisted into the back of the teamβs vehicle for transportation to the awaiting ambulance where they could receive further treatment and onward transportation to the hospital.
As ever we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
