CALLOUT 44

Yesterday evening (17:50 8/7/25), the team was contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a casualty on Hameldon Hill.

Team members were mobilised and made their way to the reported location; however, upon arrival, initial team members reported that there was no sign of a casualty. Meanwhile, contact was being made to confirm the seriousness of the injuries and verify accurate location details. However, the informant advised that the casualty had been assisted off the hill and was indeed now on their way to the hospital.

Team members and NWAS were subsequently stood down from this incident, and team members were able to return home and put the vehicle back at base.

Whilst as ever we wish the casualty a speedy recovery, can we take the opportunity to advise that if you no longer require an ambulance, or other emergency services, please do call back via 999 and allow them to redirect resources elsewhere.
