
CALLOUT 34 – Call to assist casualty on Pendle Hill

🚨#35🚨 – Just before midday on Friday (16/5), the team were contacted by the police to pass on awareness (from FRS) of a wild fire in the local area. No further action or deployment was subsequently required by the team.
🚨#36🚨 – On Saturday evening at 21:00 the team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) for assistance with extracting a casualty who had dislocated their knee some distance from the nearest access.
Team members were mobilised and made their way to the location. The casualty was placed onto the bell stretcher and evacuated with use of the wheel back to the road for onwards transportation to hospital.
🚨#37🚨 – On Sunday around 12:30, after some of the team had been out for the morning on an exercise and others were on a local fundraising event the team were contacted by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to assist with the evacuation of another casualty – this time near Whalley. Team members were on their way to the location when stood down as the ambulance service confirmed they had been able to extract the casualty without needing further assistance.
