CALL OUT 71
Shortly after 13:30 this afternoon (Sun 20/12/20) the team were requested to assist with a casualty who had suffered a lower leg injury in Witton Park, Blackburn.
The team were helpfully met by a friend of the casualty at the roadside, and as resources arrived we made our way to their location. The casualty was assessed and treated at the scene by team members, before being given pain relief and the ankle splinted. They were then ‘packaged’ into a cas bag (like a super warm sleeping bag) and onto the bell stretcher along with its wheel for an extraction to the awaiting ambulance crew. The patient was handed over for their onward journey to hospital and from all the team, we wish them a speedy recovery.
