After a brief pause in callouts for the team this year, today was the third request for assistance this weekend…
Shortly before 1 pm this afternoon (14/3/21) the team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a casualty who had a lower leg injury on a footpath near to Irwell Vale.
The team was deployed and made their way to the scene alongside our colleagues from NWAS, the casualty was treated for their lower leg injury by the ambulance crew, before being placed onto our Mountain Rescue Bell Stretcher and onto our off-road wheel for a slow and steady descent down the wet and muddy field to the awaiting ambulance.
As always we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
