CALLOUT 52
The team received their second call out of the bank holiday weekend today. At approximately 12:40 (31/5/21) the team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to assist with a casualty who was injured whilst walking near Mitchell’s House Reservoir near Accrington.
Our team’s volunteers were again deployed and made their way to the location just off the A56 along with Mobile 2, our 4×4 Hilux, which was, fortunately, able to get directly to the casualty’s location over the moorland. The casualty was assessed by the NWAS crew and team medics before being given pain relief and subsequently then transported in the team vehicle back to the road and awaiting ambulance for onwards transportation to the hospital and for further treatment.
As always we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
